Esme Emerson, Live At Omeara - 23/04/25

Wow wow wow. Esme Emerson have done it again. You guys know how much I love this band so when given the opportunity to see them live in London again it was just a matter of how do I pay. And with the amazing JoFromSchool opening it was truly a stage shared by superstars! So let's break down both their performances from the night.

NOW LET'S GIVE IT UP FOR MY GIRL JO! My love for Jo has only blossomed since I first saw her live, also opening for Esme Emerson back in October of 2024. There was no doubt in my mind, when she was announced as the opener of this tour, that she would be just as amazing. Finally being able to see her perform with a full band was an itch that has finally been scratched, and guys, she was brilliant. My favourite songs are Speedrun and Cow. I cannot wait for her to finally release some music. She has been sharing some images of herself in the studio on her Instagram story recently, so one can hope that the date is closer than ever before. Jo has such an amazing voice and such a unique sound that I cannot wait for her to get the public recognition she deserves. I hope to be able to see her headline soon and meet her again. She was such an amazing person to talk to, and her merch is truly stunning. Jo, if you are reading, I love you, and everyone follow her up and be ready for when she finally drops these bangers on streaming platforms.

Esme Emerson

Guys, I'm speechless. Esme Emerson has BLOWN up since the folklore show in October. I'm so happy for them, and they truly deserve all the love they are receiving at the moment. It was a very similar set list to folklore, however with the release of Applesauce the EP, we were finally able to sing along to more than a handful of songs. The crowd definitely served this show and were louder than I expected, so hats off to all of you guys for raising the roof. My favourite songs were Too Far Gone and Show You (Truck Song). Huge shoutout to Pigeon Song for being an amazing highlight of the show and one of my dad's personal faves. It was super amazing to see visually how much Esme Emerson has grown in the last 6 months, and I don't expect them to stop anytime soon. With some songs on the setlist still unreleased, I can only hope that new releases are pending and in the works. They also have a handful of festivals lined up for the summer, so keep your eyes peeled to see if they are coming to a city near you. Es & Em, if you are reading, I love you guys so much also, you should be so proud of yourself and all the hard work you've put in to getting to this place. Guys, it was a pleasure to see Esme Emerson live as usual. I do have more concerts lined up this year, so blogs will be written about those as well, no spoilers on who I'm seeing yet though!
